The Samet team provides a portfolio of diversified professional contracting services for construction of commercial/industrial, education, multi-family and medical/healthcare construction projects. Samet seeks a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team! This position can sit in any of our regional offices
Design Portfolio MUST be submitted at time of application to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the importance of consistency in branding with the ability to recognize, apply, and evolve Samet brand standards.
- Create diverse print and digital projects; logos, identity collateral, posters, brochures, flyers, signage, windscreens, presentation materials, career fair kits, apparel, swag, vehicle wraps, advertisements, and project proposals.
- Foster and sustain relationships with print vendors and other marketing resources.
- Work in collaboration with other designers, integrating original design ideas with art direction from the Creative Director.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Canva, and WordPRess.
- Independent worker with initiative and design confidence. Understands and applies the rules of design.
- Advanced design skills with expertise layout, typography, and photo retouching.
- Knowledgeable in digital and offset printing techniques and web application best practices.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with excellent multitasking and time - management capabilities.
- Detail - oriented, with proficiency in both Mac and PC environments.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing (Bachelor's or Associate's)
- Minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience.
- MUST provide a portfolio with at least two examples of each of the following:
- Logo design
- Print collateral demonstrating layout, composition and typography skills (brochure, flyer, poster, etc)
- Branding campaign (series of work with consistently branded elements)
- Layout/art created in Adobe Illustrator
- Enhanced or retouched images in Photoshop
- Any favorite project that showcases a high level of design skill
